If you are a local landowner or farmer and have responsibility for areas of derelict or redundant woodland, we would love to hear from you!

Axewoods is a not-for-profit volunteer-based group that offers a tree / woodland management service in return for the felled wood. The wood which we extract is then converted into firewood (or planked) for the benefit of our members or those in our community that are struggling to keep their homes warm.

If you have an existing Woodland Management Plan or Felling License or perhaps just a few problematic trees, then please get in touch. Our volunteer-based work is usually completely free, although a donation to cover fuel costs is rarely declined! Volunteers undertaking chainsaw or felling work are both appropriately NPTC qualified and insured. For significant projects where greater expertise, a significant time investment or more equipment is required, we can work in part paid partnership with members who undertake this work commercially.

We have a proven track record working with Forestry England, the National Trust and other well-known private landowners in East Devon. Checkout our website for more information on what we do.
